1: Choosing Shoes was about different types of shoes that kids would choose buuuuut, the mom would choose the type of shoe that you would nooot like.

2: Some One was about a little girl who thought she heard someone knocking at her door, but all she heard was the sounds of different things.

I like Choosing Shoes the best because it's a fun poem.

"Some One" is about person who hears a knock on their door and when they open it there is nobody there exept a beatle.
"Chooseing Shoes' is about different kinds of shoes and it didn't really make sense to me.
I chose "Some One" because "Chooseing Shoes" didn't really have any purpose.

1. The meaning of the first poem is about looking at different shoes and different styles. 2. The second poem is about something or someone that nocks on a door and never knowing who it is. I chose "Some One" because I could understand what was happening and that I could visualize it in my head better than "Choosing Shoes".

Some One is about someone who heard something outside knocking at her door, and he or she looked everywhere but only heard owl's screeching, crickets whistling, dewdrops falling, and taps on the wall...who could it be?

choosing shoes is about someone who is trying to pick out shoes and doesn't know which ones to pick, because there are pink shoes, fat shoes, and many other types of shoes.

I choose choosing shoes, because when I said it fast it had a really cool song type rhythm to it, and it just sounding really catchy!

I think (Some One)is about a person who is saying that there is someone who is knocking at there door, and the person has checked but they have not found anybody at the door. Also the person is explaining that they hear other things outside.

I think (Chosing Shoes) is about a girl who is trying to figure out which shoes she should buy, but while she is giving exaples of which pair of shoes she should buy she is listing many different kinds of shoes.

I like (Chosing Shoes) the best because it talks about many different kinds of shoes that I wear, and I also like it because I can relate to it by going to the mall and looking at the shoes and buying them.

poetry round 2

Some One is about a person who thought someone came knocking at their door, but when they opened the door there was no one there.

Choosing Shoes is about someone who sees all of these different shoes and tells the reader about all of the different shoes.

I like Choosing Shoes because, it rhymed and that really helped it flow better than Some One. Also, I did not really understand the meaning of Some One.

"Some One" is about a mystery person or thing that comes nocking on the door, and the person is trying to figure out who or what it could be.

"Choosing Shoes" is about a girl trying to figure out what shoes to wear.

I like "Choosing Shoes" because the story has no repeating parts in it. I also like this story because this poem REALLY relates to me because I have a hard time picking out shoes.

I think that Some One is about natures noises and how sometime they can get you wondering about who or what it was because sometimes people do that when they are scared.

I think Choosing Shoes is not just about choosing shoes, but the things that we have and that others might not have as much as we have and that we take them for granted when others who don't have as much appreciate them more.

Truly I believe that Choosing Shoes has more meaning in my life, and that it means much more to me than Some One. It always makes me feel bad when I see people living on the streets, starving, and thirsty. My favorite line in this poem is, "Like some so would I.
but
Flat shoes, flat shoes, stump along like that shoes, wipe them on the mat shoes,
thats the sort they'll buy."
It almost made me jump when it said that little word. But. It can mean so many things but this time it means that something isn't going to be right. I love this poem and can truly relate to this meaning.

Poetry #2

I liked both poems a lot and the first poem,"Some One", was about some one was knocking on some ones door but when they opened it they did not see any one out there except a little bettle.

The next one was about a boy who was choosing shoes and was saying that there was so many different kinds of shoes, some were colorful shoes and there were some fat shoes. Since it was a boy he was going to buy the fat shoes.

I liked the poem choosing shoes because it was a funny poem about shoes and that the boy was going to choose the fat shoes. I thought the other poem was a good poem but was sad because when it said at the end, "So I know not who came knocking, at all, at all, at all," I imeadeatly thought it was a sad poem. But on the bright side "choosing shoes" was a great poem because it rhymed as well as was funny and entertaining and when I read it I could feel the poem and what it was saying.

I think the meaning to "Someone" is that a girl heard something or somebody knocking on the door, but when she goes to open it only a beetle is there.

I think the meaning to "Choosing Shoes" is about picking a pair of shoes from a whole bunch of shoes, and that you never know where to start.

I chose "Choosing Shoes" because it was more fun, and entertaining.

Choosing Shoes is a poem about a boy/girl who wants to buy shoes. I like this poem because it reminds me of myself when I pick out new shoes.

The poem ''Some One'' was about a curios boy who hears a knock on the door and doesn't know what or who is knocking. I like this poem because it is more interesting.

My favorite poem is Some One because it reminded me of myself when I was really young.

Dear Mrs. Jenkins
The meaning of the first poem is that some one knocked at a person's door and a the man thought that some one was there and opened it and there was no one in sight. In the poem "Choosing Shoes" the author is talking about how the person buying shoes enjoys all different kinds of shoes. The person is talking about all of the different kinds of shoes. I liked choosing shoes because I love picking out new shoes and getting them. From Ryan

2. Some One is about a per son who hears a knock at the door, but then she realizes there's know one at the door all it was is the noises outside.

I think Choosing Shoes is the best, because it has more details and it's a fun poem!

I think Choosing Shoes is about when you get older, your shoes will get more dull, but when you are younger your shoes are more bright and colorful.

I think Some One is about the sounds you hear at night, and sometimes you imagine more sounds at night than in the day time.

I liked Choosing Shoes, because it was more up-beat, and had a nice ring to it when you said it. I also think that shoes may have been a metaphor for life; meaning when you are a grown-up, you don’t get to do as many fun things as you got to do when you were a kid.

The poem "Some One" is about a person who hears someone knocking on the door but when she opens it all there is is nature.

The poem "Choosing Shoes" is a funny poem about lots of different shoes and the author makes it look like the voice is telling you what people would buy.

I chose the poem "Choosing Shoes" because it is a fun poem. I also choose it because it really made since to me. I like this poem because I have a personal experience like that, I always have trouble choosing shoes. Over all I liked this poem because it had a better feel to it. I really love poems that have a good beat and feel.

I think ''Some One'', was about some one who was knocking on some ones door, but when they opened the door it was only the animals from the forest.

I think ''Choosing Shoes'', was about a boy who went to buy shoes, and he was choosing between many different kinds, and then he chose fat shoes.

I liked the poem ''Choosing Shoes'', because I thought it was more happy than the other poem, and I like to listen and read happy poems. I also liked when he said he was going to buy the fat shoes, and not the other kinds of shoes. I also liked this poem better, because the other one was kind of sad.

Choosing Shoes is about a girl thinking about what she wants for a shoe to wear, but then she thinks what her parents approve.

Some One is about a person who has some one knock on their door, then no one is there.

I think Choosing Shoes won because it had a more colorful image to me. I thought it had two sides of a story.

"Choosing Shoes" is about Child trying to decide what shoes they want, but the child's parent wants them to have a shoe that the child absolutely despises.

"Some One" is about someone going to the door when they heard a knock, but no one, or nothing was there, except the black night.

I choose the poem "Some One", because it has lots of detail and I have experience with ding-dong ditching, but the poems didn't really have meanings.
