"Roger the Dog" is about a dog who always lays around and falls asleep, and this poem tells about how he does that. Casey at the Bat" is about a baseball team who lets a batter hit and the batter was Casey, and he strikes out and he gets humiliated. i chose "Roger the Dog" because it it's always fun to lay around and be lazy.
"Roger the Dog" is about a lazy dog that doesn't do anything except for eating and sleeping.
"Casey At the Bat" is about a baseball player named Casey that isn't very good at baseball, and when the game is tied, he strikes out and all of the fans get angry.
I like Roger the dog because I could understand it better. I also liked it because it doesn't have any repeating parts in it.
"Casey at the Bat" is about a baseball player who is a good batter and the crowd wants him up to bat so after the players before him get to a base Casey suprises everybody by strikeing out. "Roger the Dog" is about a dog that is lazy and all he does is eat and sleep. I chose Roger the Dog because I love dogs and I don't like baseball.

Casey at the bat is about a person who is always counted on to hit the home run of the game, when he all of a sudden gets two strikes and then tries to hit the ball as hard as he can on the second try and he strikes out! Roger the dog... Roger the dog is about a dog who doesnt like to do anything, but sit, snore, sleep, and he will only wake to pick at his fleas.
I would choose roger the dog, because i love dogs and my dog is kind of like roger only when my dog(toto) gets up he wags his tail and will play with you and then in the morning he will sleep in untill 8:30. Hehe!

Rodger the dog was about a dog that loves dinner and he wipes his dinner dish clean and saves his exercise for eating. I liked Casey at bat because of the message it was giving and that was that you should not just depend on one person to make you win. From Ryan

I liked Casey at the bat better because it was a very fun and realistic poem. I also like it besuase it taught me a lesson, you should not always depend on 1 person to win the game for you. You need to work as a team. The poem also had a catchy tune in my head.

I liked both poems but I liked Roger the Dog best becausea ryming poem and it was about a dog and I have a big passion for animals.Also Casey at Bat was a sad poem in the end and I lost intrest in the poem in the beginning of the poem.
I think that Casey at the Bat is about how life can be unfair, but not to do things you will regret later on and how when people want you to do something bad to get something, and you do it, you are the one who loses.
